The value for money at the lodge was fantastic, with a clean and unique 1970s style room that I absolutely loved. The location was ideal, providing a breathtaking view of the bay and easy access to Key West. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The breakfast experience could be improved with a wider variety of options.

The location of the lodge was fantastic, with easy access to downtown Key West and the beautiful Bahia Honda State Park beach. The proximity to these key attractions made it convenient for exploring the area during my business trip. the view from the room was breathtaking, overlooking the bay and providing a pleasant atmosphere throughout my stay.
While the lodge offered a great location and stunning views, there were a few downsides to consider. The outdated furniture and decor gave off a vintage feel, which may not appeal to everyone.

Well-preserved 1940s style waterfront lodging with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and private balconies/patios. Friendly staff, nice people staying, and scenic surroundings. Good food with takeaway restaurant option. Convenient location for Key West visits but away from crowds.

My stay at Sugarloaf Lodge was fantastic. The waterfront location was breathtaking, and waking up to the stunning views of nature was a highlight of my trip. The room, although dated, was spacious and clean, with a comfortable mattress and modern bedding. The Tiki bar was a great place to relax and enjoy live music, and the friendly locals added to the charm of the area. Despite a few minor inconveniences like the lack of a screen on the sliding door and some bouncy pillows, the overall experience was wonderful.

Friendly staff, beautiful waterfront view, close to the Keys, nice restaurants nearby. Room had a spacious, albeit dated, feel with a large fridge. Comfortable mattress and modern bedding. The Tiki bar was huge with windscreens, great live music, and friendly locals. Well-maintained, clean, and fully operational. Impressed and will return.

The staff at Sugarloaf Lodge went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. They provided helpful recommendations for exploring the Key West area and even gave us tips on where to park. The view from our room was absolutely stunning, and waking up to the beautiful display of nature right on the water was a true delight. The spacious room had a large fridge, which was convenient for storing our food. The comfortable mattress and modern bedding made for a cozy night's sleep. We also loved the huge and beautiful Tiki bar, where we enjoyed excellent live music and friendly conversations with locals. The location was perfect, with Key West just a short 25-minute drive away. we had a very good experience and we'll definitely recommend this hotel.
There were a few minor drawbacks during our stay. The rooms were a bit dated, although it was evident that they made updates here and there.

The Florida Keys experience was amazing! We loved sipping coffee on our waterfront balcony with a breathtaking view. The retro feel of the rooms was charming and they were kept clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Plus, the location was perfect for our activities in Key West, only a short drive away. And the Tiki hut with free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate was a lovely bonus.
There were a couple of downsides. The bedsheets and blankets had a musty smell, triggering allergies.

If you're looking for a perfect spot to enjoy the water and relax, this hotel is ideal. The rates are much lower than in Key West, and it's only a 12-minute drive away. The peace and quiet at Sugarloaf Lodge are priceless. The view is marvelous, and despite being next to the tiki bar, we couldn't hear a thing from our spacious room. The location is stunning, right on the water, and waking up to a beautiful display of nature is a treat. The Tiki bar is huge and beautiful, with windscreens that work even in heavy wind. The band was excellent, and we enjoyed meeting friendly locals and learning about the area.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with information about nearby attractions and the best places to park in Key West. The location of the hotel was perfect, right on the water with a beautiful view of the Gulf. Additionally, the hotel had a retro 1960s vibe that we really enjoyed.
The bed was uncomfortably hard, which made it difficult for me to sleep, although my husband liked it. Another downside was that the tiki place was closed, so we couldn't enjoy any drinks or snacks there.

I had an amazing time staying at this hotel. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding areas, as it was close to both Key West and the middle keys. The hotel had a friendly and efficient cleaning staff, who made sure our room was ready for us early on the first day. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and I loved waking up to the sights of birds and boats on the Gulf side. The hotel also had great facilities, including a tiki bar with water views and an excellent restaurant. The staff were helpful and made our stay enjoyable.
Nothing, all great.
